Reporting to the Director of Program Management, you will assist the product development team in developing, refining, updating, and complying with aircraft design requirements for a hybrid-powered, long-range Regional Air Mobility aircraft. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the validation and verification process for the project requirements, identifying functional and performance requirements with quantifiable data and working with our program management and certification teams to ensure company and regulatory needs are addressed. Other duties include communicating with design teams, reporting to management, documenting processes, and coordinating reviews.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing requirements with all design teams
- Provide training to all personnel for all requirements processes
- Evaluate all program documents and resolve all requirements-based issues, coordinating with certification team members to analyze all requirements
- Participate in various meetings and ensure compliance to all organization requirements
- Analyze and perform assessment on all requirements to ensure information sufficiency and clarity
- Develop and implement all requirements policies and procedures and coordinate with management staff to identify all risks and prepare reports for same
Required Skills / Experience:
- Nine plus years of related engineering experience
- Knowledge of aircraft requirements aspects
- Working knowledge of requirements management tools
- Must have an Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Degree
Preferred Skills / Experience:
- 12 years of related engineering experience
- Knowledge of SAE ARP-4754 and ARP-4761
- Knowledge of Dassault Systems Requirements, jama, or equivalent requirements tools
- Experience working on a diverse team to solve complex problems
- Strong understanding of aircraft design and requirements development
- Master’s degree or PhD in related field
Educational Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically nine or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. a Masters qualification). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
